Remember when they said digital games would make games cheaper for you and everyone else? It literally went the opposite way, they always lie.
well said, and thats generally the reason it grinds my gears - the lies.
They made them easier to market and distribute. They just refuse to translate those savings to the customer and come up with some excuse as to why they should charge more. I often hear "but they paid the equivalent of $80 for a game in the 90's!" True, but those also cost a ton more to construct and market.
It no longer is.
The price of games has never been reduced , it only ever stagnated untill they saw fit to increase it.
Like Visa and Mastercard used to say; can't put a price on happiness.
My happiness, from games, has only decreased within the last decades so I'm less willing to put in more money for less quality and quantity.
I respect the hustle but respect my wallet more.
"Ohh b-but you will own not--" still rent.
