i will be honest i am done with aaa games, they suck
lack of passion, lack of optimaztion and lack of care. they release a half baked game for 70 dollers and mostly don't bother patching the game and leaving it broken for modders to fix on their own.

i do not like having to buy a new pc every year or 2 or having to pay big money for their games.

say what you want but indie games being 20-30 dollers and giving so much love and content is the market for me.

idk why you would even bother working for aaa studios, i heard they just work you to death and you basically do nothing of value since you can grt fired and replaced any time.

working for indie seems more noticeable, happier work envoriments and better connections to passionat people

i think aaa is dead and aa and indie are the new meta, aaa is no longer releasing indie games and just trying to cap on micro heavy games.

ya some indie games/companys can be bad but idc tbh since they are people not suits. they have feelings and forcing them to finish projects they lost intrest in is funny tbh since i am fine for them to drop it and just move on to a new one. since after all they could go back anytime later on.

but ya i tried doom dark ages and that ♥♥♥♥ felt so soulless and boring and it make me releaze these people are just gonna make games with ray tracing with trash story and gameplay from now on. all the bell and whitles and nothing else.

i also dislike multiplayer games since ya i respect it but same time that stuff dies and i rather play something that will last forever and i can replay whenever i want.

so ya i am really enjoy buying indie games and supporting people who care and update their games.

Quite a few AAA games are pretty decent... I think you just bought the wrong ones.

the only aaa game i own this year is the pirate yakuza game and idk if that is even aaa since i think it is prob aa but idk. overall i think there was a remaster, a failed doom and borderlands game and idk what else tbh their is a lot of failers.

all the stars this year so far are indie and aa games. no aaa.

oh but on playstation their is death stranding and on nintendo the monkey game. ya those are console exclusives. i count games anyone can play on any platform and that is mostly on pc since most pc games get console ports later on or right away.

but ya i legit did not notice any big aaa games this year for pc. (aka the platform that matters the most)
Double As are the future, smaller budget, less risks involved, more other risks taken (so innovation regain it's place too), less corporate BS.

lmao skull and bones, it amazes me they somehow spent 400 million dollers again how and they failed so hard it is too funny. like what are they doing. 400 mill on a 12 year game. idk how they take that long too.
due to the economic hardship it doesn't surprise me that the entertainment industry is taking a loss but what does surprise me is that billionaire entrepreneurs and tech companies are buying failing businesses like blizzard and EA with all of the funny money they've collected in anticipation for the inevitable inflation stabilization. in the same way microsoft killed skype 5 years later they are going to do the same with discord along with any other major, "investment," and this video game dead-zone we find ourselves is going to take another decade to recover until it is rebuilt on the backs of startups and industry-aligned management.

Check out my game's list... I only buy games I personally enjoy; I don't hoard games.

the thing is the smaller the budget the less stupid mistakes they make. i see these corps legit dumping millions on a game just for it to lose to 3 people living in their moms basement making min wage.

aka bordelrands 4 lost to silksong. lost in price, optimazion and in quality/replayability.

doom dark age lost to other indie games as well. really funny tbh suits vs normal people with passion and they lose every time and the people with passion end up the ones in millions that belong to them since they have no shareholders or loans to pay off.

video game dead zone? what dead zone, i am enjoying so many games i never heard of and just supporting small devs.
But honestly, the most recent AAA game that I bought was one of the biggest disappointments for me and biggest overpay on Steam.
I wish I could refund it 😔😔 unfortunately, Steam refund policy is pretty strict.
After that I buy only games that I know are good.

i legit do the same so idk what this is supposed to mean. i legit refund ones i do not like or do not care to try and play and only keep what i like and think i will enjoy ether now or some other day.

The problem with corporate thinking is, there is too much peoples involved and the more numerous the peoples, the less "character" the product will have. The best games I've played so far have all the same thing in common : they're done by one guy alone, putting his very soul into it. No amount of money can beat a passionate crafter, period. It's the same for any form of art btw.

So yep, indies are the future. Small teams rocks.

na i am good, 70 dollers is just too much and i rather just enjoy replaying the older games. the last 2 aka 7 and 8 low key sucked and i really do not want to bother with new titles anymore. bad writing and so on.

ya 70 dollers is def not worth it, they even release games broken now and by the time you are mid in the game you finally see the bad writing and rushed story/gameplay
