The Internet Ruined Gaming
Think about it. In the days before Playstation 2, before real online gaming and before internet and search really became mainstream, everything about gaming was a mystery.

You had to seek out other humans and form friendships to find gaming partners and get gaming tips. You had to rush to the magazine rack everywhere your parents took you to find out the cheats and the latest game releases.

And every year was a banger of a game, and COMPLETE, because it was either finished, or death. No, “We’ll release a day one patch” bullsh*t.

I barely knew what the internet was when I was younger.
Unfettered Capitalism and corporations ruined it.

You quite literally stated the same thing but in a different way.
You quite literally have poor reading comprehension skills.

Internet ruined gaming =/= Internet is a mistake.
So you didn't actually read what you fully said. because you both quite literally stated nearly exactly the same thing. You are also only mentioning the title of your thread that you made. no my reading compression is just fine.

What was wrong with What they said.
Gaming isn't ruined, and there are still plenty of amazing and incredible games out there (mostly in the form of indie games, although there are a few amazing AAA games out there, even if they are few and far between). I don't think that the internet is the problem with Gaming, even though it has effected it massively for better and worse. The problem with part of the gaming industry is that its the big companies that are slowly destroying it for profit. Live service, in app purchases, online connectivity everything, etc... is the real problem. Games like Fortnite, Overwatch, Call of Duty, and some of the newer Battlefield games that aren't Battlefield 6 are just some examples of the problem. Not all of the games with the features I've listed above are bad, but it seems the majority of them are.

I am going to have to disagree OP.

If internet gaming had come out sooner I would have been able to pursue my nature of the geek in full.

I do agree people do need to socialise more throughout gaming.

You love not owning your games and being fleeced every year with predatory DLC and Deluxe/Ultra editions for $90-120 bucks? Speak for yourself.

He's just racist against non-native speakers.
No, it’s just that if you’re gonna run your mouth, at least do do articulately and form a proper sentence.

No you are just complaining that you don't understand what they said. that doesn't mean that other people don't understand what they said. It doesn't matter if it is in a sentence or not.
