what causes satanism
Satanism was always some creepy thing i heard some shady mystery people partook in but never did i think i'd see people publicly proclaim themselves as satanists

At least atheist view is based on them not being convinced, but satanists straight up read the bible and believe it only to worship the force that doesn't have humanity's best interests in mind.

Significant point of order:

Satanists do not worship Satan; the name is a misnomer. Satanists essentially view themselves as gods in their own rights, drawing from the idea of Satan's rebellion against God being an act of personal empowerment. Their ideology is more about self-determinism than anything else (and, interestingly, most Satanic Temples do as much--and sometimes more--charity work as many Christian churches do).

Devil worship is its own practice, distinct from the quasi-organized religion that is modern-day Satanism.

I see more theistic satanism than the type you're describing, and witnessing this type of satanism multiple times is what prompted me to ask this
