I feel like organized crime "won" this war. I've lived in Rio de Janeiro since I was born. There have always been gang wars, there have always been police operations in the city. But to have it reached the level it has today, I've never seen anything like it, ever. 29 years of existence, and I've never seen anything like this before.

Honestly, if I had the financial means, I would have moved out of state.
