If I could legally cut down trees and build my own cabin for free I’d definitely choose that over buying a dull mansion that wouldn’t make me proud in five years.

I'd take stage 4 million dollars

So take a million dollars or die of cancer? The million dollars is the most logical choice. And besides… if I had cancer at that stage I’m already dead.

I think a better question would be.

If you were suffering for years from a undiagnosed illness, would you rather have the cancer or be insane?

Must be rough when your suffering and no one believes you, including the people you call "friends" and "family". Who think you are lazy and just faking it to live in poverty and drag your partner down with you. Like I said it must be rough.
