They had to have a strong clear message that was simple to spread to lots of people.
The drawback to LGBT is it may not promote people reproducing their own genetics.
That is a long line of survivors that may not be carried on to the next generation.
Jesus was all about acceptance of people and trying to fix some of the damage done by the harsh reality of the times present and future.
Humanity has a purpose that is beyond our current comprehension our DNA is made with so much information stored of our history and to be made into our future from our experiences as we live generation upon generation it adapts and makes us more suited to the challenges we may face.
That however wouldn't be love but harbor fear and uncertainty within its own house of which there is none to be found in God.
your child telling you they are gay and telling you they torture people are both extremely different things, and you even comparing the two is genuinely very disturbing.
What saves a person? Is it faith or works?
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
If salvation is by faith and not by works, then Whom must we place our faith in?
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,(speaking about Jesus) that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Must we do anything to stay saved?
Ephesians 1:13-14
13 In whom ye also trusted (speaking of Jesus), after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
In conclusion, all of this is not to say that living in sin is totally okay or anything like that because the Bible says that God will chasten His children, and it also says that the Holy Spirit will convict us when we do wrong, but, with that being said, we are not saved by or even kept saved by our works. We avoid living in sin because we love Christ, and if we love Him, we will follow His commandments, whatever they may be.
We are a triune being: body, mind (soul), and spirit. When we accept Christ, only our spirit is saved; as for our mind, we must renew it by getting into His word, and as for the flesh, unfortunately that is not saved; it is corrupted. One day we will get our new incorruptible bodies. Paul talks about the war between the flesh and the spirit within us. Even he admits that he is the chiefest of all sinners and that the good he wanted to do he found it hard to do, and the bad he did not want to do, he did. Are we any better than Paul? At the end of the day we are all wicked sinners deserving of hell, but thankfully we don't have to go there, as the gift of salvation is free for us. Jesus paid the penalty; all we must do is accept Him. No amount of good we could ever do could pay that penalty; it took a God in the flesh to be the propitiation.
Once truly saved, always saved. The very moment we accept Christ, we get a permanent seal from the Holy Spirit.
I hope that clears things up for ya.
Edit: Let me go a step further and say this: our, the Christian, identity should be found in Christ and nothing else.
But they are not different in the sense, that a person wants to abuse something that already has a purpose.
pick any thing you like, if a child told you they only like incest or they like molesting, or they only like to sleep with married men, the list goes on and on
Bro moved the goal post to the moon. >.<
Edit:
Now it's out of the Milky Way...
yeah, best to just let one dig their own grave in moments like these. really, really disturbing stuff. unfortunately fairly average for what i see on these forums though, i have learned it is best in most cases just not to reply at all.
There is a purpose for things in life, going outside that purpose is what is called missing the mark or sin.
the difference between gay and the aforementioned things, is western society accepts it as the norm, while i mentioned things that are not accepted. But we know from history, that not all things that are legal and accepted are good. For example, slavery used to be legal, segregation laws used to be legal. And there are still laws and things that are legal, but they are not good or healthy for people.
Stealing is part of the survival instinct.
It is not correct to do it but it is part of the 'drive' and 'satisfy' within us.
The other things you mentioned are bit out of order. - in the sense you bring them up and do not see the differences .
Churches that support LGBT are supporting Sin.....
It doesn't make sense biblical, and against Christ's teachings...
