If they don't know just add that in DotA, the gameplay revolves around stuns. They may not know how a certain game plays, but they do hate stuns, so that is enough for them to explode with fury screaming how stun mechanics make any game unfun.

Does game have friendly fire? Throw a nade in their direction. Makes my brother rage out every time. I love it.

Even better is to just call them shoot 'em ups.
