Its not if but when I have a girlfriend, it wouldn't matter as there's more to life than button mashing. But if she's gonna smash my pc I'll have to reconsider the relationship.

If you enjoy video games and you're even entertaining the idea of dating someone who is philosophically opposed to them, that's a you problem.

having similar hobbies is not necessarily a requirement for a good relationship, but it usually makes it a lot easier to become closer to one another. however actively hating your partners hobbies seems like a relationship doomed to fail.

I'm not completely against dating a non gamer just as long as he doesn't make me choose uwu
