Activision is holding my inner child for payment
Cod black ops 4 was really good. Cod did fps with abilities before overwatch, overwatch becomes a huge success and they doubled down and gave us the most beautiful sniping, fluent (basically erotic compared even to todays shooters) movement, barely over the top agent skins, a 3 month battle pass you didn’t need to pay for, progression crates and a flawless free to unlock all crate/progression system to get all gear and all weapons, measly 10USD bundles, 25USD for everything ever released from when you bought it until forever, some of the last amazing 3 lane maps ever, innovative battle royale mode that is still talked about to be superior to whatever slop they got out right now.

Idk why this Activision company released a cod every year for 19 years but if it was me picking which cod was peak it would be this one.

Every cod before it lacked BoOtS oN the GrOuNd fluent mobility and visual clarity, every cod after lacked fluent mobility and am identity. There wasn’t another cod that plays as good as black ops 4 does.

Forget waiting for a passive heal, stimshot to decide when you’re in and out of combat.

Activision had failed to make anything (call of duty oriented) quite like bo4. The glaze is real.

It is so cringe cod players were up their own butt so hard we thought specialist abilities was done and dead when overwatch is still a walking zombie in the big 2025. This game got tons of unexpected and unnecessary hate. It gave us everything we were asking for and more with innovation we haven’t seen come back at all.

Hated for not having a campaign. Gimme a break.

Had to type this out. As much love as I have for bo4 it’s gotta go in the past eventually. Not saying right now but it’ll have its time. I’m not trying to be the CoD grandpa that all they talk about is how their generation of games trumps all and then turn into those boomer arcade cabinet guys. No hate with that, I just don’t want to continue that cycle. There’s a plethora of great games out itd be stupid to say my era is king and deny great games after it.

And again. I dislike activision. Bo4 will probably never come back. Lost to the cosmos. Sand slipping from my palms. A mist to atmosphere. Another blade of grass.

Okay pal. You can argue over the smallest detail stated in someone else’s 400 word post now. Idk what possessed you to correct me on what Activision is always or why you’re even continuing it.

Microsoft is why I sold everything with a screen. Very soon my phone will be gone too.

Tell me why in a 15 y/o video game with dusty servers before the time of surveillance does it exist that words on my screen I don’t interact with in a chat of a game gives me a personalized advertisement on my phone a few days later regarding the chat. I’ve been saying it for years that the Xbox app is just live-streaming your desktop to the cloud.

How big of a coincidence is that where a brand name I’ve never interacted with gets mentioned in a 15 year old games chat and I get an advertisement for it on a separate device. The spiderweb has grown way too large I’m just done now after that. Like why is Microsoft using ai to scan words on my screen to mobilize advertising for their own benefit. It’s not even personalized advertising. That is spying.

Yes and Black ops 4 also was the last year of all controller gaming before the cheating exploded in popularity. 2019 marked the death of future fps games with Cronus and Xim and strike packs. The genre to this day has never recovered.

So on top of this being the greatest call of duty of all time, this was the last call of duty of pure skill expression…. Of all time

High IQ PC player vs Low IQ console troll... I'm not spoon feeding this to you, although I could on the console > HAGS and lossless Frame Generation and that pull pit of money laundering... But would you ever seek on that statute or laxing on this main frame?
Classic malding to regenerate your self esteem spending thousands to look at pixels better

And if you were playing at the time of an event which would be a content drop of a multitude of absolutely stunning, flawless dlc maps you could play the rotation of dlc… for free…. Just like if you bought it…. Name another game doing that man. Don’t actually do that but black ops 4 was special in literally every way.

And the amount of people who agree is extremely small.. I have no idea why. This is the best cod to be produced.
