So Microsoft is releasing their first party titles cross platform now. If xbox has no exclusives, why would anyone buy an xbox in the future? You could buy a playstation and still play any xbox games you want.

I'm drawing a comparison to Sega. While the circumstances facing the dreamcast were a lot different, I think the end result is the same. I think Microsoft will probably exit the console wars at some point and focus on software development.

So is the future going to be Nintendo versus Playstation? Maybe not.

With a lot of Windows users basically rebelling against Windows 11 right now would be a great time for Valve to release a Steam Box. If they packaged it with a desktop OS similar to Bazzite and had WINE and full Steam support maintained by Valve, I think it would sell like crazy. People would buy that and use it as their daily driver desktop PC instead of buying Windows 11.

In the future it could be Steam vs. Nintendo vs. Playstation... What do you think?
