Why japanese medias focus on their merch industry so much?
I feel like a lot of the time the series can't risk anything because they can't risk the merch sales.

People like merch of characters they are attached to.

If they wanted to make serious money they would make the Yamaha Banshee again and have it for sale now in the USA. Apparently the emissions laws are gone.
I'd buy 2. 3 if they put the engine in a motorcycle. Craziest thing I've ever ridden in my life.
