Had four kids steal from my desk today and had to waste an hour calling parents

Had to write up a kid for hitting a girl then he got all emotional at me and made a big deal of it (???)

Had to write up a kid for calling another kid the n word, he also got all emotional and made a big deal of it (???)

Had to give a kid the heimlich because they got food stuck in their windpipe and they just completely stopped making sound

The cost of groceries finally hit me (I am a middle income earner in my state so the cost of liiving been okay until recently)

My computer is completely upside down on the ground with three cats with ♥♥♥♥-eating non-grins staring at me.

Are you a teacher? Well, dealing with the parents is much worse: "I trust my child" and "You looked at him meanly" typically

Yep, I teach Ancient Civ to 11 year olds and world events and geography to 12 and 13 year olds.

You're on the money there too. The parents are really what made the kids stealing from me annoying. Kids steal, I'll get over it, I didn't even write them up because they were first time offenders but man the "I've never gotten a call like this" "he's never gotten in trouble like this" like yeah as kids grow into adolescents they typically misbehave between the ages of 11-14.
