no, not really. i read novels from questionable and problematic authors all the time. separating "art from artist" is not possible, because the art came from the artist. i just consume the media while also acknowledging that the artist is a terrible person.

Hell no, I really don't get why I shouldn't listen to someone or play something or watch something that's objectively good just because the author did something "bad". I value my own enjoyment and entertainment over everything else and don't think about that person at all, I am never interested in knowing the background of authors either, whether it is positive or negative.

thats perfectly fine. i would never judge someone for wishing to not consume art from a terrible person, i do not believe there is anything wrong in that decision and if it brings you peace, that is good.

Yes but it's very easy to go through it, think of a rule:

Do you feel terrible listening to that music everytime you listen to it? If not then it doesn't matter, if yes, then stop.
