Most people think having a boyfriend or girlfriend is something to be proud of. The thing is, not everyone wants that. But because of this way of thinking, people insult others with the word “virgin.”

The whole “virgin” insult just comes from that mindset—assuming that everyone must want the same things and that not having them makes someone lesser. I agree that it's a weird standard to judge people on, like I just did, but... Success in life does typically make people more attractive though and while I agree there are some out there that don't prioritize it... I think most of us on this planet are attracted to someone or at the very least curious enough to try it out.

SO I think saying that "I'm just living life the best I can without worrying about that" is either a young person or someone that probably isn't in a healthy place for a relationship to begin with.

As long you're getting laid, it does not matter if you have a spouse. Most men can actually get laid more without a spouse, than with a spouse, in today's world. Ask any married man how much action he gets. It should be whenever he wants, however much he wants, and that's probably what the poor fool was promised, but the sad reality is that's far less than a single man with no spouse.

There are people of every sex/gender that go without any sort of significant relationship their entire lives.

The nuclear family is a creation of the church and state. There is no natural requirement for it. Successful men throughout history have been able to support multiple wives and concubines and the women are usually fine with it, as long as they are provided for. We are seeing a return to that nature now as modern liberated women are free to date whom they want rather than being expected to marry and have a family and, surprise surprise they would rather share the hyper-successful men than be locked into a marriage with an average joe.
The human nature is to reproduce with attractive partners, not to marry based on convention and live in a house with 2.5 children and a mortgage.
