Vietnam had powerful backers in the form of china and soviet union. I'm not even sure who the hell is brave enough to arm canadian insurgents if USA invades.

I think it would b mostly the Rural people who would resist the most. The cities would complain the most, but would quickly fall in line. Of course you'd have some Americans go up there to fight on Canada's behalf. In the long run if America annexed Canada, I think a good portion of the population would move south into the states, which would solve the housing shortage in that area.

The only ones that would really benefit from annexations are the large businesses, the average person wouldn't see much change, and as for representation, on a federal level they would have less than they currently do, due to the sheer size of the US.

Also they would have to get rid of their free healthcare and buy american insurance wich means happier shareholders and ofc you can get a cheap work force if us makes canada a terretory it has to follow laws pay taxes but has no right to vote

Doubtful. The US was fighting with their hands tied in Vietnam by operating under some fairly BS rules of engagement under the belief that if anybody from Russia working with Vietnam was killed in an attack, it'd result in WW3. No such concerns would exist in Canada. They're get steam rolled.
