I've worked lots of retail in my life.
enough to know that cart return is usually done as punishment detail for the newest and least skilled teenager.

Not returning your cart is a life lesson for that kid.
Would you really deprive them of such a valuable learning experience?

Always made me mad in retail seeing people not put them back. I worked at an incredibly busy beach store too in the blazing summer and i was pretty much required to go out and gather them all up again every hour. I would get like 20 and make le epic choochoo chain of carts tho it wasn't really allowed.

But tbh that work is nothing compared to roofing or shoveling concrete. It just didn't pay for ♥♥♥♥.

Except when I see someone leaving them in the parking lot, in a parking spot, and entering their car.

Then I just pull it behind their vehicle and walk in the store while they scream "thank you!" using a lot of bad words.

I may not be perfect but i'm not a monster to not do it.

There's a YouTube channel (I think it's also on TikTok) called "Cart Patrol" or "Cart Police". Something like that.

He goes around the U.S. and hangs out in parking lots. When he sees someone fail to put the cart away? He films it, runs up to them, and interviews them.

THIS MAN IS A HERO!

One time I saw him place the cart behind a woman's car. She got out, and moved it. He rushed in and moved it back. She absolutely REFUSED to put her cart in the stall.
