I have a Question for the Moderators
If I want to flag a post that people make only to get an achievement for the "Pillar of Community" Badge, what do I write for it? I just write "Pointless Badge Post", but I sometimes I worry that it won't be good enough for a reason. Do I keep flagging it for that or do I write it as spam or something?...

I think it would classify as "spam" IMO.

I usually just say "pointless post" or "spam" Then let the moderators take it from there.

Why is it such a big deal if someone does? They want a quick badge, so what? Are they hurting you? Does it offend you? It'll get locked soon anyways, let them have their 5 minutes of glory.

and rather annoying to go through the forums, see a title that makes you think it's a decent post, then you realize it's just a spammy badge post.

Even so, I believe posts that break the rules should be reported anyway. There's always a chance a moderator won't be browsing the section at the time.

Are you saying that the moderators are not all knowing, and that maybe not all of them are logged on at the same time looking at all the different forums?

When we go through our Global reports we're directly taken to the post so we won't see the reason all that often. With that it's rare that I have to look up the report itself and why it was reported.

Been doing this long enough to know what's right and wrong. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't write anything in the report. It's best to write why you think the post need to be Moderated.
Doesn't need to be long either. Spam, insults, troll, pirate and other words are just fine to use.
