There is nothing in the world that I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ despise more than ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ summer and now that the hell on Earth is here again and the only thing keeping me from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killing myself is knowing I'll get winter if I survive this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I decided to share a list of all the reasons why summer is such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miserable piece of ♥♥♥♥ that I could come up with:

1) Clothes:
-In winter, you can just put on more (and more thick) layers and eventually it will have to be warm, but in summer, you can only take off so much and then you can go ♥♥♥♥ yourself. The clothes you wear in winter are much more comfy, such as jackets with that wool-like material on the inside, also it's too cold for vulgarity. Finally, I have a radiator with a large flat surface and I always put my clothes and jackets on it before I wear them and that feeling is priceless.

2) Heating and cooling:
-Heating exists since the Stone Age, it's much, much more widespread than air conditioning and it works both outdoors and indoors, while air conditioning works exclusively indoors and necessarily dries out the air in the process.

3) Side effects of being hot and cold:
-When it's cold, it's just cold and that's it, really. However, when it's hot, you sweat which makes you sticky and stinky, you feel so weak and tired you can barely even move, you can throw up and even pass out (actually happened to me). When it's cold, I can sprint much longer than I can walk when it's hot, also not nearly as much heavy breathing from sprinting in winter than from walking in summer.

4) Traffic:
-Much less or even no motorcycles, bicycles and electric scooters which are basically kamikazes where I live, for both drivers and pedestrians on sidewalks. It's more fun to drive in the rain and especially in the snow since there's a whole new dimension of driving to keep you entertained.

5) Sleeping:
-I love raging while trying to fall asleep for 3 hours straight as I'm drowning in sweat and constantly flipping the pillow to get the less hot side, compared to getting under an insanely soft comforter and immediately sleeping like a baby, not to mention...

6) Bugs:
-...when I finally manage to fall asleep after 3 hours of pure suffering, a mosquito that sounds like a helicopter lands right on my ear and I have to get out of bed and hunt it with a flashlight because it just won't go away. Last year, a meaty spider fell on me through the open window, meaty enough to wake me up. I freaked out when I realized it was a spider while it was sitting on my bed, then I reached for the flashlight on my phone and it wasn't there anymore. I removed and searched the covers, turned the whole heavy mattress upside down, but I just couldn't find it, so I went to sleep in another room instead. It was like 5 AM. Summer is generally full of bugs which never show up in winter.

7) Allergies:
-Yeah. And you can't dress up more appropriately to prevent them.

8) Other stuff:
-In winter, everything can be covered in snow which looks very different and fresh, while in summer, it's the same boring stuff as always. As for seasonal activities, technically you can go to beaches and swim in winter too (even my grandma does and she's over 80 years old, so this isn't an absurd argument), but winter activities are actually exclusive to winter since they require snow which you get only in winter.

9) Coziness:
-Probably my favorite thing about winter other than bearable temperatures, but I thought this one was obvious from the example with clothes. What's better than wrapping yourself in a blanket, drinking hot chocolate while it's nice and warm indoors and raining, storming and cold outside? Not to mention all the Christmas decorations and the whole atmosphere. Summer doesn't even have a holiday.

White racists might have a bonus reason to hate summer, but hey, at least that can give them a reason to hate summer, so that's something...

The main "arguments" for summer I hear are "ohhh but i love beaches and swimming" (which exist in winter too, like I said above) and "ohhh but winter makes me feel so depressed", like, ♥♥♥♥ you, it's summer that makes me feel miserable and not winter, what now? I can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ explain just how much I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate that stupid ♥♥♥♥ "argument" that literally works both ways and proves nothing. Another one I heard was "summer allows more clothing style" which is actual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because your clothing is much more limited in summer as you have to reduce it as much as possible and because how it looks comes down to preference anyway. My main (and one of the very few) requirements for a girlfriend is that she needs to hate summer with a passion, so something like "ehhh I don't like it that much I guess" won't pass.
