Being hot is barely noticeable, while being cold is worse than death.

What. Look at the 3rd point above unless you're being sarcastic.
Cold is much easier and in some cases actually possible to deal with (1st and 2nd point in the original post) which makes it better. Someone might actually like being hot for whatever reason and that's fine (eww), but that still doesn't change the fact in the previous sentence. If you can't stand the heat, you're screwed, if you can't stand the cold, you can deal with it and be warm.

You would love it here, we tell people the "joke:" Summer is the best two weeks of the year! :P
I'm in Split, Croatia and winter here is almost like summer in London.... It's like 30 degrees here right now.
In that case You can still wear more clothes in winter, but You´re melting away in the summer. I guess it´s like 50° C in here sometimes, which are 122°F, to save the calculations. And i guess every home here has a heating, but few homes have a proper AC unit, which means that You even get sniffles when You´re driving a car with an AC unit, which most have, after You managed to sit down on the black leather seats after work.
Topic: i like both equally - but when going out, summer looks better.
