Yes. As you get older you grow used to the tricks games use to hook you. Also, it seems really indulgent to spend hours on a game, so I don't play as long or often anymore.

No, I'm 27 and finally with a computer capable of running my favorite games the only lacking I have right now is my graphic card but my tiny 1050TI is doing it's best

It didn't die, not at all. But it did change overtime.

I personally nowadays look for a more relaxed gaming time.
I'll pick easy games (As my 'git gud' time diminished with age) over anything 'pro', 'hardcore' or 'competitive' (Also reflexes and muscle memory isn't what it used to be. No need to trigger carpal tunnel pain because of a gaming session) and I no longer have that 'need' to finish games. Once they stop providing fun I'll move into something else.

Also too complex games get little attention from me. I don't really want to spend my reduced playing time in learning how to play a game. So things with easy mechanics will win over more complex games.

Also I distanced more and more from multiplayer-centric games. As I prefer the enjoyment of my gaming session not to be risked by encountering a cheater, smurf or a bunch of pubstomper 'tryhards' who play the game 9-to-5 everyday.
