Or you can embrace the nihilism and stop bothering yourself with questions that nobody can answer no matter how hard they try to convince you that they know all the answers.
Just because life doesn't have a specific end goal or whatever doesn't mean everything is pointless, it means you have to create meaning.
But don't try to overthink and try to find a true meaning because there isn't. Make your own meaning. You are here now and never take it for granted.
So in my answer for this thread is that we really don't have a directive to live. You can only find the answer for yourself because you have a belief that there's a point or not. It's an opinion based criticism and only relies ahead to your perspective. It's only you to judge when life has a meaning.
