Biologically, it's to reproduce and keep the cycle going. Beyond that, I think the very fact that people can make up their own reasons and meanings, pretty much shows us that there is no actual point. We have to make one up individually. It's no different than choosing a career path. There is no "right" answer. You go for whatever makes you happy in the meantime.

There is no inherent point in existence itself. So we seek our own purpose.

Life is like Gmod or a box full of action figures.
You have to make your own point and meaning.

Life doesn’t have a point. I don’t think it needs one.

We didnt come with instructions manual so who knows, point is what you decide it to be.

Nihilism is the absolute worst way to go.
Just because life doesn't have a specific end goal or whatever doesn't mean everything is pointless, it means you have to create meaning.

Exactly. This is the best possible period of time to be a human being, really. 150 years ago, chances are you would have lived and died working on a farm, had no plumbing, probably wouldn't have lived to adulthood and could die from a cold or infection.

I can tell this thread will be locked regarding about this. Yeah we already had a guy made a thread similar to this because there was an on-going debate about the point of existence. I made some constructive answers with the reference of theories but some dudes went on an argument and went in a flame war.

So in my answer for this thread is that we really don't have a directive to live. You can only find the answer for yourself because you have a belief that there's a point or not. It's an opinion based criticism and only relies ahead to your perspective. It's only you to judge when life has a meaning.
