If you run your mod manager as an administrator (or as the user you've changed the owner to), it theoretically might work, but I've not tried it. The Xbox beta seems very finicky right now, even just to install things beyond a D: drive.
Even installing games like Skyrim into protected areas of your PC like the Program Files folders can mess things up.
In the long run, you're better off just buying the game from Steam imho. Although I use both personally.
Just don't subscribe to older threads if you don't want to still hear from them once they are beyond a certain time-frame.

Because you were answering the original question. Way too late for that. Making a new comment is OK. Answering a year old question is not. I did a similar necro a while ago. I said that here in 2022 I still needed the answer that was posted 3? years ago. I was not answering an old question, just commenting on the old problem. No one complained.
