The question now would be, which console. As you like Halo and some older games, the Xbox One is probably the best choice, especially with the backwards compatibility.
Thanks for the reply
First of all - This post may be awkard to some and yes I am going very aggresive with the subject. The fact is that every place I ask, has the same respose. "You want to be a peasant" . This is one reason I didnt bond with the PC community so much, even if I gave it time...
Same goes for console community. No reason for why I should buy a console, just comments about "He is becoming one of us!"
Moving on, the fact that I dont know the community of PS4 or Xbox, and I dont know the PC one either, makes me feel lost. Yes I played with the consoles but only in "testing markets" and friends' home . I want to know how the feel, the overall single player and multiplayer experience for the games that they provide. As you said Xbox One has Halo which I liked in the past but I hear bad things about the new community, where as PS has a more solid-steady one.
Lastly, feel free to recommend me any game you want for PC. I am open minded. Even if I dont like it, I will give it a shot. I am just trying to create an opinion for all the platforms, an opinion that sadly, even after 4 years, I dont have...
Thank you
PS.
Adding Baldur's Gate to the games I like!!
You would basically have to get new mobo, CPU and new gpu (an SSD would speedup loading times too).
For half that amount, if you already have a 4K monitor/tv, you could go console.
But note this: all of the games you play so far play better on PC than on console. 1080p@60fps is just something they cannot do with maximum or almost maximum settings.
The new consoles probably will, but again, probably not 4K@60fps, unlike a new shiny PC.
You get what you pay for.
As for games, have you tried The Witcher 3? And if you do get a PS4, I'm guessing you'll enjoy the Uncharted series and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
