Problem for next upgrade
So here is the thing...
In 2013 I've built a PC
i7 2600k
Asus P8Z68 VPro
Kingston Dual Channel 8GB Ram
Stock cooler
Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi (2008 model)
PSU 500W
GTX 560Ti
2X HDD 250GB western digital
1X HDD 500GB western digital
1X HDD 1TB western digital
1X DVD Blu ray reader

2014 Upgrade:
Intel SSD 180GB
Creative SoundBlaster Z
GTX 560Ti SLI
750W Thermaltake PSU

2015 Upgrade:
GTX 970Ti Strix 4GB Oc Upgrade
Swapped 500GB HD and 250GB For a brand new 1TB Black WD and 250GB WD (Old one was destroyed)
BeQuiet Dark 3 CPU cooler

2016:
Upgraded to 16GB Kingston DDR3 Dual Channel 1866Mhz CL9 Ram

Plus the case it self (Thermaltake Level 10GT) got 2 new fans

Accessories:
Logitech G510
Logitech G300 upgraded to G602
Logitech G27
Xbox One Controller (Using for most games)
Microsoft SideWinder Dual Strike Controller

Games I enjoyed playing with my new PC (games I couldnt play with my old PC)
Rome II Total War
DOOM ( PC - With Controller)
Deus EX Human Revolution (PC - With Controler)

Games I enjoyed playing in PC overall:
Quake 3 Arena (no Quake Live)
DOOM (With Controller)
F1 2013
Skyrim (With Controller)
NeverWinter Nights
SW KOTOR I and II
Fear 2

So here is my problem. I saved 700E but I am sick and tired of the PC community (here we go). The only games that I trully liked are games even before I bought this PC back in 2013. I regret not buying a console back then and save near 650E. My PC so far has not offered me a better experience from my old Xbox 360 or the Xbox ONE of one of my colleagues. I would get the same amount of entertainment from playing Doom Mass Effect Trilogy Rage DiRT F1 and Deus Ex on a console. Plus I dont use Keyboard and Mouse combo for FPS games. And I cannot afford 4K so 1080p60Fps is good enough for me

The question is. Why should I spent my money and buy a new i7 processor a better motherboard and a better GPU, when I can buy the a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X? There are new and old titles in both consoles that I absolutely love and want to play, but no new exclusive titles for the PC that I want to buy. Even ME:A will play better on the One X or the PS4 pro, since my framerate/quality will be worse on my PC.

If I upgrade, the old parts will go to another - older PC (2007 to 2013 system upgrade) so no extra money there. If I buy a console, I can make +200E by selling G27 G510 G602 - will use it to buy the new G920 or G29 depending on console. Plus I save money for Edifier S760D

I am kind in a tipping point here. Should I upgrade and continue playing NWN (closing 3 years) or should I keep my PC as it is and buy a console? What games should I look forward to for the PC? I see no future for my on PC race...

Hope you understand my preferences with this list:
Games I hate:
Counterstrike (all editions)
Battlefield 3-4-Hardline
Tom clancy's games (except Ghost Recon AW 1 - 2)
New Battlefront games
New Need for speed games
AC after Ezio trilogy
Cities XL 2013
Sims
Enemy Territory - Quake Wars
Just Cause 3
New NeverWinter Free MMO
Overwatch
Quake Champions
Quake Live
Team Fortress 2
Medal of Honor Pacific Assault
Halo Wars 2
COD MW2 MW1 AW IW Black Ops I II III
BONUS: Windows 10,8,8.1 OS

All games I liked - played all of them at least 20 Hours:
Halo 1 - 2 - 3 - 5, Wars 1 - ODST - Reach (On Console) + Coop
Star Wars Battlefront I and II (originals) (On Console) +Coop
ME Andromeda (On Console)
NFS Underground 2 - 1 (On Console) + Coop
Red Faction Armagedon (On Console)
Oddworld Munch's Oddysee (On Console)
Forza 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 (On Console) + Coop
PGR4 PGR3 (On Console) + Coop
Morrowind (On Console)
Street Racing Syndicate (on Console)
Deus Ex Invinsible War (On Cnsole)
Star Wars Republic Commando (On Console)
Crash Bandicoot : Wrath of Vortex (On Console)
Colin McRae Rally 3 (On Console) + Coop
Mirrors Edge (On Console)
Lost Planet I (On Console)
ME Trilogy (PC-With Controller)
Skyrim (PC - With controller)
Assasins Cred Ezio and Altair (PC - With Controller)
Dirt 3 (G27 Wheel) + Coop on PC with Controller
Dirt Rally (G27 Wheel)
F1 2013, 2016 (G27 Wheel)
Quake 4
NeverWinter Nights <33333
Quake 3 Arena <33333
PES Coop
FIFA Coop

I accept trolls and PC fanboys. However this is my money not yours. I am looking for a good reason why should I stay in PC race,,,

Sorry for any bad england, thank you for reading!

Get AMD Ryzen 5 or 7. Better than the Intel I7 range.

Still the question remains, Why should I upgrade my PC when there are no new titles out there?

Why are you asking us? You're the one who wants to be a console peasant.

I am the one who wants to have a great experience. Is it bad getting a reasonable opinion from the community I am already in? I am only asking for games. Or at least something to hold me here. Nothing more. Cant see how this helps me, the community or any other player who has the same problem

From the sounds of it, getting a console is probably the way forward. I'm a PC gamer, have been for 25 years (yes, I'm "old") and it's always my platform of choice... and I spend a fair bit of money on keeping it up to date. But, I also own a PS4 which is great (and an Xbox One but don't really play anything on that). I also can't think of any up coming PC exclusives that would interest you, based on your list.

The question now would be, which console. As you like Halo and some older games, the Xbox One is probably the best choice, especially with the backwards compatibility.

It's your money buy what you want. If your satisfied with the performance of your PC go ahead and buy a console if you want to. I built my own PC, but I also like to play on my PS4. No reason to label people as console peasants and PC fanboys it's not that serious people everyone has different preferences.

Thanks for the reply

First of all - This post may be awkard to some and yes I am going very aggresive with the subject. The fact is that every place I ask, has the same respose. "You want to be a peasant" . This is one reason I didnt bond with the PC community so much, even if I gave it time...
Same goes for console community. No reason for why I should buy a console, just comments about "He is becoming one of us!"

Moving on, the fact that I dont know the community of PS4 or Xbox, and I dont know the PC one either, makes me feel lost. Yes I played with the consoles but only in "testing markets" and friends' home . I want to know how the feel, the overall single player and multiplayer experience for the games that they provide. As you said Xbox One has Halo which I liked in the past but I hear bad things about the new community, where as PS has a more solid-steady one.

Lastly, feel free to recommend me any game you want for PC. I am open minded. Even if I dont like it, I will give it a shot. I am just trying to create an opinion for all the platforms, an opinion that sadly, even after 4 years, I dont have...

Thank you

PS.
Adding Baldur's Gate to the games I like!!

Yes I see your conundrum, with that setup.

You would basically have to get new mobo, CPU and new gpu (an SSD would speedup loading times too).

For half that amount, if you already have a 4K monitor/tv, you could go console.

But note this: all of the games you play so far play better on PC than on console. 1080p@60fps is just something they cannot do with maximum or almost maximum settings.

The new consoles probably will, but again, probably not 4K@60fps, unlike a new shiny PC.

You get what you pay for.

If you feel like PC gaming isn't fun for you, why would you continue? Do what you feel is fun, not what people expect you to do.

If you've found the community hostile, it might be that you need to look in different places. Check out some Twitch streamers (cohhcarnage is a personal favourite) and if you find one you enjoy watching, they'll often have a community that you'll get along with. I've also found the player.me community to be pretty friendly.

As for games, have you tried The Witcher 3? And if you do get a PS4, I'm guessing you'll enjoy the Uncharted series and Horizon: Zero Dawn.
