if its clc, make sure the pump is at 100% all of the time
under 90c is fine
it will throttle when its getting too hot
set the fan curves in bios, 0% at 40c to 100% at 90c
case fans can be by sb/mobo temp 0% at 20c to 100% at 40-50c
just to keep air flowing through the case
test and tweak to see what works best for your fan setup
Some games are the same, some games are way better, but no games were worse with SMT off so unless you are doing some kind of productive work it's a useless feature in my eyes.
Why it will just cut back speed to keep temp in check, now if you had some kind of electric chair you sit in and it shocks you if it goes above 83c then I would understand the nerves.
Buy a 360mm AIO if you want it a bit cooler.
