Write a letter to AMD and ask them to sell you a small priced 1080p GPU.
dell/aliendell, hp, acer and a few others
they would need to design the board for it too
Doesn't seem low end to me, and pisses me off that compaines get to buy them all up.
If you use your brain, you don't need much to run old games on linux and cost saving is much needed right now, you all should be writing AMD and tell them you want those stocked next to nothing GPU's in the stores.
Go back to being the budget brand. Stop making back room deals. I want to pay less and get more.
Doesn't matter, you pay the price when the market swings... I would say yes if I were you.
Just of waste of my time, pick up the pencil or pen, write AMD and ask them to stock basic, low end next gen or ask them to make nothing at all anymore.
Try to find an RX 6600 that offers similar performance and is likely cheaper due to availability. Before prices go crazy and we get hit by another GPU shortage.
Instead I bought a 7700 XT cheap on Black Friday because nobody wants them. It is faster and has more memory. You can buy them in the 300 dollar range.
A 43W card, it doesn't have the same performance as the RX6600, but it also doesn't require additional power connectors.
Sadly, I haven't seen them on the market.
