I saw one for 400 dollars a MSI one but it could have been a 1440p panel and not 4k... 240hz. Thought it was pretty good deal. I spent 700 bucks in march or april for my 32 inch gigabyte 4k model and its just 165hz.

You are paying more so for the alienware name.

But my research tells me the monitor is actually genuinely top tier so in this instance the value seems reasonable relative to the brand.

The 32inch is like £725, similar to the asus rog strix monitor. And I prefer 27inch screen size, it's what I've always used and it's what is best for my gaming experience.

The size thing for 4k and a monitor is very subjective.

I see the regular price new is 900 bucks... imo I wouldn't buy an Alienware since they tend to be overpriced but you got a good price overall.

Way too small in what way? I sit about 30 inches from my monitor and I like that I can see the entire screen real estate without having to move my head.

I've used 27 inches for nearly 15 years and just don't click with 32 inch screens. I guess having a larger image on the screen would be better but honestly 27 inch is prime for me.

You know best whats the best size for you. For me I rather have more screen for work related stuff and I just like 32 inches more for 4k but then again I don't have the best eyesight in the world either and I don't play competitively anymore.

$700 usd seems to be the minimum usd price in the US. Looks like a deal.

27 inch 4k is noticable vs 1440p. Can always change the resolution downwards. It is technically overkill.

Normal priced? The entire reason I went with this monitor is because it was quite a bit cheaper than similar monitors.

For example the ASUS and Samsung equivalents are like £650 - £750 and the MSI variant is nearly £900.

I didn't buy it on a whim, I watch many tech review videos and many people praised the monitor for being genuinely good, rather than just the name of the brand.
