If "digital ID" replaced passwords for log in on PC's, will you comply?
I've heard about governments mandating "digital ID" under the guise of convenience (but it's enabling mass surveillance) now put that with a new Linux, MacOS or Windows auto-update in which the log in screen prompts "link digital ID to log in device" meaning the user needs a government digital ID to literally use their PC.

Otherwise, the device is nothing but a brick if you do not have one or link your "digital ID": as they are wanting to replace usernames and passwords with "digital ID" as the default log in (not just for PC's but for browsers), even if that were the case: would that really destroy anonymity?

It's one of those things, if the government needs to know about you they do and you don't have anonymity anyway, you have a degree of anonymity now but that's because you're nobody and nobody cares about you (not in a mean way lol), if you had to use a ID for online for 99% of people it will make no difference in their life so that's it will come in the end, and you'll use it too and nothing will change really, you still have to work and pay the bills.

I'll say one thing if you had to use a real ID to play online games then if caught cheating your ID gets a 5 year ban from all online games I'm not totally opposed.

Ooo maybe put retina scanners on monitors, get caught your eyeballs are banned.

Need to see some ID first, then just look in to this scanner and place your hand on here, just doing a quick swab then one more test, you hear the snap of a rubber glove behind you...

I wouldn’t be surprised if M$ login will require ID/Age verification at some point.

A single ID check would automatically remove the need for such checks in other places like Xbox chat in UK, spotify, wikipedia and many more dangerous places.

So convenient. Saving time and money /s

To separate creeps from kids online is probably the best argument for it in some places, places like Roblox and console chat.

No, I will not. I should give myself authorization to login to my very own account, not the government should give me authorization. Especially, if it is a private account. It's none of the government's business.
