Display won’t receive signal
Since Feb or March I didn’t have any issues with my computer displaying after my PC woke up from a sleep state. I think within a few GPU drivers ago I could no longer get my PC to display an image after waking up. The PC’s DRAM and CPU lights will turn on and off momentarily, but I think the handshake from the GPU to the display just isn’t working anymore. I’m on the latest GPU drivers and I did a BIOS update a day before this post went up thinking that could solve my issue. Unfortunately no luck. Anyone else have this problem? I have a feeling this is GPU driver related because I made no significant changes to my PC all year besides those drivers. This was also happening on 24H2.

does bios display anything?

do you have multiple monitors plugged in?

did it work at all after the bios update?
what mobo exactly?

make sure the display is turned on and set to the correct input

Stop using sleep and just turn your PC on and off, it's always been a semi dodgy thing, probably just funky Windows stuff.

i always use sleep mode on one of the computers . it s been over 5 years .no issue

Well you don't have to look far online to see a lot end up with issues with it.

And that's why I say semi dodgy, it can be fine.

Don't use any sleep mode. It's pointless

I checked event viewer and saw some errors regarding TPM stuff. BIOS didn't correct anything, but I did do another clean install of my GPU drivers and a dism clean-up image command in a console. Guess we'll see tomorrow morning

I would update to latest BIOS and when do simply start with a BIOS Optimized Defsults applied change and see if this helps for now.

Seems like everything I’m describing to ChatGPT is pointing to some low level power things or memory training. Just seems so weird how this was all fine for a while and just stopped working.

use the jumper to reset bios to defaults

look at the mobo lights, what is changing if anything?

to reset bios, short the JBAT1: Safe Boot Jumper for a second or two
you dont need to unplug or power off, on next boot it will be reset to defaults
(if you dont have anythng to short it with, use the reset button header cable and press the case reset button)

its diagnostic leds are above the main 24pin power connector

Red = CPU - indicates CPU is not detected or fail.
Yellow = DRAM - indicates DRAM is not detected or fail.
White = VGA - indicates GPU is not detected or fail.
Green = BOOT - indicates the booting device is not detected or fail.

For more context, sleep seems to work when it wakes up less than 30 minutes. Overnight sleep is where this is causing me problems. DRAM and CPU lights will turn on for a few seconds and turn off. I saw a forum in MSI website talking about this being memory context restore and power down enable issue
