Ryzen 9600x (6C/12T) faster than i9 12900K (16C/24T)
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-ryzen-5-9600x/18.html
A Mobile 6 Core Ryzen is more then enough. An 8 Core Ryzen 9xxx wouldn't do anything much really except raise the price quite a bit. Even ganes like Wukong and Last of Us 2 would run perfectly fine on it
Sorry, but logic nor rationalism will apply towards me. We might hold to the past standart idea of 4 cores are enough. But 'realistic' speaking this cuts down on FPS/Response time. We also lose on background processing with is important for a lot of processes; lowering the responsivness of the machine.
I understand the idea of 6 cores as a cheap alternative solution. But the small procentage increase from 4 cores to 6 cores. Doesn't change a lot of factors at play.
It doens't matter if it steam or a friend asking for a good gaming PC.
This is not acceptable for me!.
Go with 8 cores or even beyond. But deliver a good product.
6 core is trash!.
Cause they don't know much about compiling computer hardware components togheter.
The expensive cost of a PC is undaniable.
Even if build parts by part.
How about doing something stupid and creating a finance lease;installment plan for a Gaming PC.
In the agreement; payment spilt by hardware component. Meaning the costumer would fist pay for example: Motherboad (price split is adjuted), then CPU, GPU,RAM etc. If the costumer wouldn't pay, he can't access the Machine. As till the end of the contract; it would be under property hardware and software lockdown.
1.Designed like a PS5/XBOX. However, still modular, in that sense, when costumer payed the full price. He get the Architectural design with allows him to modify his hardware.
2. OS lockdown. So if costumer doesn't hold to the agreement of paying. He get locked out.
Now, the crazier part is; if he sells the Machine and someone else get on it. That someone will have the previous owner credit. Means he will not need to pay for the already payed hardware components.
Paying 100 € for 12 Months that brings me towards 1200 € annual. Means for 2000-2500 € i get a decent gaming PC.
I'm using my PC to many other tasks than only games (including programming and AI). I don't see a problem with it.
And arguing that 6-core is shouldn't exist is just pure nonsense.
