gpu final decision
hi recently built my first pc:

amd 9700x
msi b850 edge ti
64 gb ram
2tb m.2 drive
850w psu

currently stuck until i buy a gpu, i am looking at getting a 9070 xt(dont want the 16 pin connector so avoiding them), as its black friday seems the best time to buy, these are the ones i am looking at :

Sapphire PURE £589
XFX Mercury OC Magnetic Air RGB £620
PowerColor Hellhound OC £605
Sapphire PULSE £540
Asus PRIME OC £565

just want a reliable one and quiet if possible and avoid coil whine, was looking at the xfx mercury oc magnetic air rgb but the price is from a company called awd-it.co.uk and a bit worried about spending so much from a company i have never used. really need to decide nowish as i expect the prices will increase after black friday/cyber monday.

9070x is 600 bucks on newegg last time I checked. Get it at that price its the buy if you want a high end gpu that's not totally overpriced.

hi thanks for the reply, i am in the uk so buying from newegg would have high delivery cost.
Would get Sapphire Pulse, solid AMD brand, cheapest with decent quality and that tiny difference between this and factory overclocked ones doesn`t really matter.
Unless you want to go for all white build, then Sapphire Pure.

thanks for replying, want to go as cheap as possible but i dont want any problems, my top 3 choices where the pure, mercury and the red devil but the red devil is £680+ so out of the running. never bought an expensive gpu before as most i have spent is £150 so wondered if i spend loads and end up with problems, i am even thinking of nvidia 5060 ti as backup option, need this sorted as i built my pc about 6 weeks ago and cannot really use it till i get a gpu, at the moment thinking the pure at £589 but the pulse is a lot cheaper at £540 but the pulse does seem to be towards the bottoms in most benchmarks i see online.

Asus PRIME OC is also decent option, good price, medium range factory OC and I have not seen people complaining about noise, coil whine or temperatures.

hi thanks, had a look around and the main con with the asus prime oc seems to be the customer service from asus which puts it out as if i have problems or need to return it as i dont want a £500 broken card i cannot send back.

No idea in uk pricing. Depending on your needs a midrange like the 9060xt or a 5060 ti might be more than enough.

is the pure worth the extra £50 over the pulse?

It has about same level factory OC like Asus PRIME OC. Other then that not much difference.
any other thoughts i need to decide now ish.
sapphire pulse.....its fine.....pulse is clocked at 2.97Ghz and the pure is running 3.01Ghz.....other then this they are the same......0.04 clock speed between the 2.....cant say that is worth 40 pounds....both are 3 fan monsters

now if your after looks the pure comes in white but if you are OK with black the pulse is fine.....
My vote goes on Pulse.
I like that it is NOT factory overclocked for max stability. You can always OC yourself if you wish.
I also like the price, built quality and 2x HDMI 2.1

The XFX magnetic air is super cool. The fans just snap in and out and make cleaning so easy. The look great too especially if you vertical mount it. I have one in a Hyte case.
@TWPanda77 , you have rtx 5090 . Congrats on this . but some may need something more budget friendly
