Liquid metal cooled laptops....
Anyone ever used one of these? HP Omen Max 16 are currently having a sale and I'm thinking to upgrade to a 5070ti or 5080. However their laptops used liquid metal cooling.

Thing that worries me is I travel and transport my laptop in a backpack. If I go from using the laptop one moment then I put the laptop in my bag vertically would this cause the metal to leak?

Look at some YT videos about liquid metal cooled laptops, there are a lot of issues with it.

Great way to kill your laptop.

I wouldn't touch an HP Omen with a 10 foot pole. Overprice like hell and prone to many issues.

no, they wont leak, ifs fine if its a factory done job

it has have a foam insulator around the cpu/gpu and heatsink plate to hold in the liquid thermal material in place

if its an aftermarket job, the liquid metal can eat away at aluminum and coper plates and make it cool worse than just regular paste, and poor insulating around the cpu and heat plate can make it leak

talks about it a bit here after repairing a poor liquid metal paste job
