the best RPG? the best director?
Who cares.
I play games based on whether I would get enjoyment from the experience.
This. There've been plenty of "GotY" winners that I couldn't care less about. Doesn't mean they're necessarily bad, just that they're not my thing. (ditto with Best Picture winners and Best Album Grammies, and Best TV Show golden globes, and. . . welcome to subjective opinions of what is good or not?)
Anyway, this happens every year, and every year there are people upset that certain games did or didn't win. Why care about it? You don't need one random event to recognize your game as valid in order to enjoy it, do you?
Edit: Just to be clear, this was my favorite game of the year so you might think this is easy for me to say, but I think this was also the first time a favorite game of mine from a given year won and I never cared at all when it didn't happen in those years. I think this was a great year for gaming, despite the complaints (complaints that current day gaming always exist) so it was going to be a tough year. A lot of games that didn't win are still great. A lot of games that may not have even been candidates are hiddem gems. Don't let award shows or YouTube outrage personalities influence what you do and don't like. Get out there and enjoy the games you like.
How come you didn't know? The game and special effects vary depending on the operating system. even the crash.
unless my fav game wins of course, then its a fact
