Forever is a long time. So will they ever? Definite maybe. Has anything been announced? Not that I know of. But who knows what tomorrow will bring.

South America? That's a long shot.

Unfortunately selling to South America leads to few sales. People with less money, goods overpriced (taxes, distribution fees and just seller markup). Not a good place to buy tech.
But steam does like to be different, so hope they will think of some lesser countries. Could really help them gather momentum.

Nobody knows but different local sellers may start selling different builds with pre-installed SteamOS. Some more and some less expensive than The Steam Cube.

I'm not Brazillian nor live in Brazil, but they are resourceful as hell with little money. I don't doubt they are already rolling with linux and steam.
