Controller no longer has Vibration/Rumble in certain Steam games recently.
I just noticed over this past weekend that I am getting NO rumble/vibration on any types of controllers on PC on Steam. Games through different launchers have rumble/vibration, just certain games on Steam after the last Steam patch seemed to have lost the controller vibration function. "Arc Raiders" and "KCD2" all of a sudden have no more controller rumble/vibration, even though the rumble test works fine. Games like "Cyberpunk" and "Sons of the Forest" still DO have rumble/vibration that does still work fine. I'm not sure what the connection is between the games that have recently lost their rumble/vibration function in-game, but hopefully Steam sends a patch soon that fixes this issue for controller rumble loss with seemingly random games. Can anyone test their games and see if you're having the same issue please?

I've tried a few other games on Steam just to test out which games controller rumble function is still not working as of 11/21. All firmware up to date Windows 11. Rumble test working properly. Tested on 3 different controllers.

Rumble NOT working in: Arc Raiders, KCD2, Subnautica, Abiotic Factor, The Ascent.

Rumble IS working in: Cyberpunk, Tainted Grail, Sons of the forest. Red Dead 2 on Rockstar launcher.

that would tell you if its working with steam controller mapping

not the same as if it works without steam input enabled for the game

It does work with Steam controller rumble test and all other tests. It's only in-game that the rumble vibration effect doesn't work anymore. Only in certain games. I've changed the Steam input to "enabled" and "Disabled" and the same results. I saw a few Steam updates come through the night before this started happening and I think it bugged some controller rumble effects in some Steam games. I'll be patient for a patch hopefully.

Can anyone please try those games I mentioned that don't have rumble anymore on an Xbox controller and let me know here if you have controller vibration effect please? Thank you

I only have Ascend from your list.
I’m not sure how it was before but I still have vibrations in some situations like using big mech or during some cutscenes but not when firing a gun for example.
I’m not sure if it was always like that or if I’m missing some of the vibrations.
Tested on ps5 and Xbox series x controllers.

Interesting, thank you. I'm pretty sure that game always vibrated when you fired your weapon but I'm not for sure. Thank you for trying!
