Suggestions on new CPU

I was wondering if its worth switching over to AMD and getting a new motherboard as well or staying with Intel any suggestions would be helpful.
My current pc is -
4080
i7-12700k
motherboard ASUS rog maximus z690
64gb ram
corsairh150 i elite lcd 300mm cooler
corsair RMX 1000 watt gold power supply

What are you trying to do that you aren’t satisfied with your current system?

Your current specs are still pretty good and should play most games at very good settings.

Get more FPS, my specs are completely fine I agree with that but doesn't hurt to want more LOL

Install Windows 10. Nvidia recently admitted making performance-killing drives (Win 11 update?), but they didn't say which cards work with them.

Increase the RGB LEDs to improve overall performance.

to be blunt you have a balanced system.....you need a new GPU and CPU to really see any gains.....

now with this said this is ONLY IF you have DDR5....

Stick to what you have, especially with current hardware prices. Double so if your mobo uses DDR4 RAM since DDR5 RAM has insane price now.

Agree the 12700k is still pulling punches once you get to 1440p and 4k. Unless you are esports pushing 1080p / 165, yes you can upgrade but a lot of spend IMO...

i7-12700k can handle RTX 4080 .No change needed

Your system is fine, a better CPU will not change much in most instances. 14700K, 14900K, 9800X3D, etc. can give more FPS mainly in eSports games, but is it worth the price? Not usually.
