there are only a few panel makers

samsung and lg are the largest
and they dont even use their own panels in all their displays

iv seen lots of lg tvs/monitors with samsung panels, and samsung tv/monitors with lg panels

look up reviews on rtings to see how they actually perform
https://www.rtings.com/monitor

but even then, there are some variants with different internals than the reviewer receives
exact models can still have differences

Asus has the best, for both QD-OLED and OLEDW.

They do use their own panels, but also the competitors because there are trade offs and cost differences. And supply.

Edit: Fixed.

I got me a new one about 3 months ago. Whenever i buy new hardware, i read lots of tests and compare devices until i decide what i'm going for. So i would suggest this one ---> https://www.gigabyte.com/Monitor/MO27Q2
But keep in mind, if you had an IPS panel and then you get a QD-OLED, your eyes have to get used to it. Black is really black, so if you play something like Green Hell and it turns night in the game, you need a torch. But the colors are stunning. Watching a movie is damn nice on this monitor.
If you plan to use adaptive sync, you might experience vrr flickering in some games, no matter what brand your monitor is.

Depends where you live, I can just return to seller and they deal with ASUS so no probs.

Not everyone notices it but it's there, I see it instantly to the point I don't use VRR with OLED, I have a buddy who told me his LG C3 didn't do it also, so I pointed it out, he wishes I hadn't lol.

I've read about people seeing PWM flickering on AMOLED smartphone screens and getting headaches from it. I myself have got an AMOLED phone but I don't notice any flickering at all. I've read user reviews for my model (Samsung Galaxy A52) and many users said they were seeing the flickering on this model.

Is Adaptive/G-Sync flickering on OLED monitors the same technology?

If you are sensitive to it you can see flickering on any screen type that uses PWM, or not even see flickering just get headaches after so long, like you thankfully I'm fine with it.

No that's a different issue caused by the way OLED handles gamma, you actually get it on other screens but it's sort of smoothed out and hidden better due to slower pixel response, OLED pixel response is insane so make it stand out loads.

It stands out loads with HDR content too with VRR on so I picked HDR over VRR for OLED.

"In essence, the display panel cannot adjust its gamma curve instantaneously and in real-time for every possible refresh rate, which results in the visible flickering artifact during VRR operation. While similar issues can occur with other panel types like VA, the extremely fast response times and "display and hold" nature of OLED pixels make the effect more prevalent and noticeable."

I didn't say Asus makes panels.

And yes Asus has the best, they have the best out of the box calibration, the most features and good performance. And as far as I know they are the only maker that has a flicker option on their OLED and QD-OLED monitors.

Check Rtings.com check reviews on youtube etc. Asus is the best here.

You should learn to write better then. Your post definitely reads as you saying Asus uses their own panels.

When you use a proper noun in one sentence and then use “they” as a pronoun in the following sentence that is done as a reference to the proper noun in the preceding sentence.

E.g.:

Asus has the best, for both QD-OLED and OLEDW.

They do use their own panels,…

Anyone with a quarter of a brain reading that would interpret your use of “they” as a reference to Asus.

Do you want glossy or matt? The premium Swift range which can get pricey or the regular Strix range.

You want the best Asus ROG Swift PG27AQWP-W, 1440P 540Hz with a 720P 700Hz mode.

Mine is the Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM, but it's over 2 years old now so an older panel but still great.

They released a few recently. I think the last unit was a ProArt.
