Frequency
Hi. Guys, please tell me, is it normal that the graphics card itself has lowered the frequencies in games? That is, at 1.081 mv, it previously operated at a frequency of 1887 MHz, but now it has dropped to 1700 MHz at 1.081 mv? At the same time, I was not engaged in overclocking and undervolting, GPU Tweak 3 was installed from the programs, and I did not touch anything there, except for adjusting the fan curve. In GPU Tweak 3, I manually reset the settings to the factory OS frequencies, 1837 MHz. And for the second time after half an hour in the game, the frequency of the graphics card dropped back to ~1700 MHz. Temperatures do not exceed the critical limit, they stay at 69 degrees. I repeat, I did not overclock or underbolt, and I did not configure the profiles in the GPU Tweak 3 except for the fans, the Nvidia panel setting is standard. Graphics Card 3060 12 Gb OC

what if the game doesnt need more . Benchmark the GPU and see what frequency it hits . GPU-Z shows perf cap reason

see what it does running FURmark or HEAVEN......both of these bench marks will hit the GPU as hard as it can ......

The frequency slider in GPU Tweak 3 was shifted to the left without my knowledge, I unscrewed it back to the stock value in which it should have been initially. GPU tweak showed a curve that the reduced frequency value was in the driver itself, the default values suggested in the program exactly corresponded to the factory frequencies. It is not clear to me why the driver himself decided to make such an unauthorized frequency reduction. I ran the test, and naturally the test was loaded at limited frequencies of ~1700...

is it normal that in games, you can say in the max watt load, the voltage in milivolts does not always stay at a stable 1.081? Sometimes I observe that the voltage in the same load is 1.075 mv or 1.068 mv. ???

i ve seen such fluctuations but it has never caused any issue .even though i m not certain whether it s normal or not . The GPU could change them accordingly . Some PSUs cant deliver stable voltages for instance . Dont worry

Sorry to bother you. Again, after 5 hours of continuous play, the frequency dropped to exactly 183 MHz in GPU Tweak 3, as before, and in GPU load, z registers the game time as Pwr and Vrel. It is after resetting the frequency without my knowledge that the Vrel behavior registers, what could this be related to*? Video card bios?
(( GPU z also writes that a reset was performed on both GPU frequency and Boost. Boost is also reduced by 183 MHz ))

my GPU frequency is 210MHz at idle

This 183 MHz load is not idle... But stupidly during the game, the frequencies were reset to 183 lower than the manufacturer's stated frequency, which is from 1837 to 1680, and in games, if it was 1887 with a boost before, it plows to 1700 with a boost...

You said the slider was at fault

I meant that the slider has nothing to do with it, because I didn't turn down the frequency myself through the slider. This happened systematically during the game, not at my hands.

You re worried that the frequency is not as advertised but 183MHz lower , right ? Do you experience huge FPS drops or just a few FPS ? You benchmarked it and the frequency was as advertised , right ?

Yes, absolutely true, 183 MHz less in terms of GPU Clock and Boost parameters. Of course, the fps drop cannot be distinguished, because only 183 MHz is lost, and 170 wt is consumed by power, which is the maximum for the model. I just don't understand, is this a warranty case or not? Is it possible to get a refund, or idk... The tests are running normally, there are no artifacts. I just don't really enjoy manually setting the slider back to the value it should be in the factory setting. Every time it is forcibly lowered by 183 MHz, it is not cool.

I think this does not qualify for a refund . The GPU dynamically adjusts its clock speed based on
-Temperature
-Power draw / power limits
-Workload intensity

Well, why don't the frequencies automatically return to the original frequency settings after the game is idle? And why hadn't this been observed before, after several hours of gaming. The temperatures didn't go beyond the critical limits, it's all strange.

Check for V-Sync on
Here is a review of a RTX 3060 , you can see different frequences .i think your card is ok
