This one is solid PCIe 4.0.
Longevity? I means, it hasn't had any issues... Yet.
Go for it if you are out of space. Performance wise, Sata SSDs are still okay for loading games. The difference between nvme ssds and sata ssds isn't as big as the gap between hdds and any ssd.
Performance is not a huge issue right now, but it will eventually become more important, assuming DirectStorage becomes more popular. QLC SSDs should be avoided if you can afford better; these are budget-class, and performance can tank under some conditions. With your budget, you shouldn't need to compromise so much.
Longevity is really not an issue. Having a limited number of writes sounds very scary, but any modern SSD will outlast your PC by a decade. Focus on getting performance to an acceptable level at an acceptable price, then worry about longevity.
Check out this tier list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1B27_j9NDPU3cNlj2HKcrfpJKHkOf-Oi1DbuuQva2gT4/edit?gid=0#gid=0
Me too I have even 2 of them
Link to the 2TB ver. on Amazon:

8!?
Lordy loo, I thought getting a second hand 3TB HDD from CEX for 20 quid was a bargain!
Well it feels like I will wait until Black Friday and see what offers are on.
Thanks all for the recommends, looks like longevity won't be a problem and I was over thinking it :)
as the first guy mentioned the SN850X is a great ssd that is also cheaper than Samsung
you wont see any difference at all, maybe unless if you regularly transfer large files or do a lot of video encoding
I don’t recommend using a single drive for windows and Linux - dual-boot. It’s an extra headache when having two separate drives cost similar and are so much safer and more convenient.
But you can use that old 250GB sata ssd for Linux. Or get another, cheap nvme just for Linux.
I personally don’t see a good reason to pay extra for high end nvme when cheaper ones perform the same in games. Better spend that money on more space or something else in my opinion.
OS drive 7TB written
drive for games 10TB written
17TB in total
2TB TLC life 600TBW + or would last 35 years
in gaming drives read more than write
the only single sell m.2 of 2TB ever made is the :
Team Group T-Force GE Pro 2TB
(it comes in a variant with a thin graphene heatsink, and in a variant with a ridiculous large active cooler...
and good luck finding a listing... there are non in my nation...
--- but :
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/Team-Group-2TB/p/N82E16820985270?
thats the cooler variant... in uk..
ofcourse I can not say if that posting is trustworthy... and it is well above your 150 pound budget.
the graphene variant looks like this :
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/team-group-2tb-ge-rpo/p/N82E16820985128?&srsltid=AfmBOoor5Nij7fH4Jn1jSe-fNHCn4wEGqPzv11xQNE589Z_4RKw4SN_D
but I cannot find listings...
but given it is a gen 5 drive.. perhaps availability will still go up on that one..
when I expend to multicelll.. it aint good at all.
only four multicelll 2TB ever made .. three of them obscure offbrands, both delisted for over a year here and I cannot even find any listings ever in uk
https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1896038/origin-storage-nb-2tb3dm2-nvme50-2tb.html
https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1730686/coreparts-cp-ssd-m2-mlc-2280-2tb-2tb.html
https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1132557/owc-aura-pro-x-2tb.html
**the fact they are pciex3.0 contributees why they are not made or sold for over a year now..
one is a more recomended brand :
Samsung 960 Pro 2TB
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/samsung-960-pro-1tb/p/N82E16820147597?srsltid=AfmBOoqX3erP1w4MOO-gJeB10YhUMZOnR4CQYbpXHBWPBLYLTratltZI
**but like the others it is gen 3,0 and it has not been in sale since 2020!! so good luck finding one!
**sure there are ebay listings but finding one new unused.. amongst the scalpers, scammers and bots... I aint burning myself on that.
----
so you likely want to buy a tripple cell.. which are actually commonly avaiiilable...
if I select purely on durability
than the best pick by a large margin is Transcend MTE710T 2TB
**this is however a hard to find product.. usually only sold by stores who deliver to buisnuisses
and it is much more expensive than 150 pound
https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/hard-drives/2629731
if I skip that one... as well as the other transcend models (all very expensive and hard to find)
the next best pick is
PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB
howver I cannot find a proper priced listing in the uk
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08KGXK4Z6/ref=asc_df_B08KGXK4Z6/?tag=pjuk-marketplace-21&creative=22110&creativeASIN=B08KGXK4Z6&linkCode=df0&smid=A33NOGDIP8BLNP&th=1
**
https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1654528/pny-xlr8-cs3040-met-heatsink-2tb.html
**
look here this is 182 euro... (157 uk pound)
so if you can find one for a normal price get that PNY XLR8 XS3040 2TB
if nor let me give you another alternative...
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/kingston-2tb-fury-renegade-g5-nvme-2-0/p/N82E16820242925
it has the same 2 million hours of hours before failing.. as the pny.. but only 2 instead of 3.6 PB write ability (meaning you can only overwrite it 1000 times instead of 1800 times which still should be plenty..
**again it is more expensive in UK than in my nation.. here it is 199 euro.
if you absolutely must stay within 150 pounds....
than this is the best option I found available in the uk :
https://www.quzo.co.uk/red-sn700-nvme-ssd-2tb-m2-pcie-wds200t1r0c68bdk0-pid403587.html?aw_affid=137991&awc=19849_1761045294_55b994577986da3f377a1dd94f0fe0f9
WD Red SN700 NVMe M.2 2280 2TB
it has 2.5PB of writability (1250 times rewriting).. and 1750000 hours before failure (thats still 200 years)
I think thats the most durabale you can get within your budget within your nation that I could find easely a listing for.
--if you can find one thats priced near 150 pounds get a : PNY XLR8 XS3040 2TB
if it is more than 160 pounds... get a
WD Red SN700 NVMe M.2 2280 2TB
--if you have extra budget to spend get either
Team Group T-Force GE Pro 2TB
OR
Transcend MTE710T 2TB
those would be your best options that you still have a reasonable chance of finding in stock.
