How much free space on C Drive?
And what is the total disk drive size for C Drive?

Get your games off the C Drive. Those should be secondary SSD so you can always go and wipe put C Drive if needed. House your Documents, Pictures, Videos, Downloads all on a secondary drive.

a 1tb ssd is cheap, might as well do that, and do a clean install to it, then copy/move whatever was on the old drive to the new one, or add it as an additional drive

C: drive is only 60 Gig. I only have 15Gig free. No games or big data on it. Just programs. Plenty of free space on 2nd SSD in system.

Don't even do a upgrade.

Make a Win11 25H2 USB and boot from it and install it. The previous OS and all your stuff on C Drive will get moved to "c > windows.old"

True. But I do not want to reinstall all the programs.

yeah time to get rid of that 60gb hdd
the last time I had 60gb storage was when I had a Pentium 4 PC running WinXP

OK. I will clone the drive to a new one first. Then I will always have the old drive as a memento/backup boot.

I only do a clean install when making a new PC. Maybe in another year if the trade war ends.

if the board doesnt support a m.2 sata or nvme ssd, it wont be easy to install win 11 on it
8th gen intel, or ryzen 2xxx or later
older boards may require tpm module, secure boot and other things

My PC is new enough for Win11. Has TPM 2 and secure boot. Back when 10 was released it was small. Smaller than 7. And I knew I would install games to a second drive(s). So I just went for the 60Gig as the boot drive. But then, 10 kept growing. Even though I remove the junk parts.
