Should I get the Edifier G2000 speakers for PC use?
Anyone using this? Looking for a PC speakers.

Or is the Creative Pebble Pro a better option?

It's for gaming, music, movies, Youtube and news.

no
they look like junk
a monitors speakers are probably as good or better

bt is garbage for audio, good enough for voip, but not intended for music/games/movies

a logitech 2.1 set is half the price and will sound better

on the very cheap, get a set of bookshelf speakers and a stereo amplifier
https://www.amazon.com/Elimavi-Bookshelf-Speakers-Requires-Amplifier/dp/B0FJX27QHJ
and
https://www.amazon.com/Amplifier-Bluetooth-Receiver-Dmyond-Amplifiers/dp/B0CKVZL5RX

then headphone to rca for audio, and some speaker wire (2c 18gage)
10ft headphone rca cable
https://www.amazon.com/Yeung-Qee-Splitter-Compatible-Smartphones/dp/B092YG2QLL
and
50ft 2c 18gage wire, (cca is a fire hazard at higher current, pure copper is easier to work with)
https://www.amazon.com/ADILSWIL-Electrical-Conductor-Extension-Flexible/dp/B0C9V5MNCJ

then you have a system that can be easily upgraded to a better receiver speakers and add a sub when needed

Indeed the pebble plus gives you a sub for half the price, no frills - probably what I would go for...

Edifier is a good brand, but those look like pretty terrible "gamer" junk.
I got Edifier R1280T speakers[www.amazon.com], and I've been happy with them. I put them up on stands on my desk to bring them more in line with my ears. They've got a nice, full sound to them. For a 2.0 set without a sub, I would recommend them.

That thing is huge though.

Bigger speakers, bigger sound. *shrug*

Id say they are on the smaller side for bookshelf speakers tbh, though I'd put money on the sounding better than those g2000's, which seem to of don't too much money in trying to look flashy abd gave done claims I'm anazed efuguer out in audio equipment, virtual 7.1 from two 3 inch drivers...

If you are on a budget you should look for second hand hifi stuff, you'll get far better sound for your money.

Just remember, money soent in flashy looks and gimmicks is money that was not spent on the sound.

a single 2.75in speaker will not be able to cover 100hz-20khz freq range clearly or evenly

I use the Edifier MR4. Don't really need a Sub in my apartment building :)

heres some recent video with good alternatives

These have a 4" sub drivers paired with 0.5" silk dome tweeters. They have a 52hz to 20khz frequency response on paper. You're not going to shake the foundations of your house or anything, but for a pair of speakers you're sitting right in front of, they're not bad at all for a budget set.

Largely agree for the most part, and it is nice to have a good 5"~6" two or three-way speaker systems next to your monitor.

Unfortunately that does not fit into everyone's desktop aesthetics - and not to mention some just need a minimal, unobtrusive pair to just stream youtube or whatever podcast in the background.

The near-fields with a properly designed enclosure do get quite good frequency response without the massive wattage needed to fill a room with dance music. Works out well when you have a nice pair of headphones when you do have the need to pump it up.

edit - the G2000 actually has a sub output 🤔️

I got the G2000 and it's wonderful! Just enough bass and playing FPS games like battlefield 6 is quite immersive on these.

In saying that though, I've recently upgraded to the QR65. They're good but slightly over powering for what I need.
