Help. CPU overheating.
This has never happened to me in all my years of PC gaming (which isn't a lot to be fair) but yesterday, my CPU overheated and shut off playing Genshin. Concerning yes, but not a lot of info to go off of.

I just got done playing TF2 today and my CPU cores max was 92c (source: HWMonitor). That's not enough to shut itself off but still pretty hot. I understand a problem like this has a lot of variables but I'm still gunna reach out for help. I do use an AIO cooler for my CPU which I've heard you need to replace every couple years.

If it matters, I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-core processor and a Corsair AIO I believe.

help of what, what you need check your pump, repaste your CPU, as simple as that

repaste the AIO.....if temps do not come down after repasting it get rid of it and buy a thermalright peerless assassin for 35 dollars (its a tower cooler) but its more then enough for your CPU overclocked....(i have a 5700x that is overclocked on mine)

Noctua is 150 dollars for the same air cooler that only gets 4C cooler then the thermalright.....dont over spend for so little of a gain.....

yeah if any Air cooler max speed it always 155CFM dont trust influencer bro

As mentioned, Always have to do maintenance every couple months/years, Repaste thermal and check if cooler is still in good working condition. No CPU should ever run even close to that hot.

Most common newbie mistake in 2025 from wannabe enthusiast "Remove the sticker on the Heatsink"
