A dell flat desktop PC case, was in the mid 90's lol, had a huge 17" crt on top of it and a huge 80MB HDD with windows 98 squeezed on it with a pentium 90Mhz cpu and 32MB ram (those were the days).

first proper PC case was a cheap alien case with side panel and a side fan that buzzed badly.

Probably something from Antec or Inwin in the late 1980s. The more I think about it, probably Inwin. I don't think Antec really made waves until the 1990s.
Just because the alternative would make me feel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ old. I'm going to limit myself to the first PC I actually built.

It was some off-brand case that had about as much quality as a Pontiac.

(assuming you mean, for a PC I built)
CoolerMaster HAF 912, still using it.

Edit: and will continue to use it forever, because all this glass-sided crap is crap.

edit: every other computer I've owned or used has been from it's main manufacturer, so the case would be "whichever the official case was". Like Apple ]['s and Macs just come in their default standard case.

tandy model 3.....cant really say it was a case as it was a all in one.......i was there for it all man.....now it just means i have a 3000 year old colon.......im saying that as it was banned from sale because of the electromagnetic interference it put off that was really radiation!!! :radiationsymbol:......like for real google it

on cases you could build in.....something that would take a baby AT/XT boards in the 286 style

yeah im old.....

the one i have kept for the last 15 years!!!......a CoolerMaster 922 with 3 200m fans and 3 120mm ...this case can keep a 5700x, a X570 motherboard, a water cooler EVGA hybrid 3080 and a stack of drives cool in a none AC controlled garage that hits 95F in the middle of summer.....i got fans but no AC....thermalright frost tower on the CPU and it stays at 4.65ghz boost all cores

with everything going pretty fish bowl no one has side mounted fans in a 200mm size anymore ....the messed up part is the fact that the 240mm radiator for the GPU is mounted to the 3.5 drive rack inside the case

when you find a case that works for you....never get rid of it

Chieftec Dragon DX01 in black … still got it but I’ve lost a load of the drive covers. I got the extra windowed side still in the box too. I think it was £30 and an extra £10-15 for the side panel. Quite a lot considering wages were about £2.50 an hour!

Rosewill Challenger S - ATX Mid-tower gaming computer case with a latching tool-less design for the drive bays including support for up to 5 Fans. It wasn't much but it was my first budget build where the downsides included poor cable management and restricted space for proper high-end cooling solutions, although, it did have good enough airflow for a mid-tower model using standard and lower-end cooling solutions.

I still have my Antec 900, I loved the case but could be a pain when working on it or cleaning it.
