Would YOU be able to afford RTX 6090 out of pocket upon release?
Regional pricing for this exists, depending on where you live (some would have it cheaper than others, as certain countries may have tariffs that impact the cost) and in today's economy it's kind of a stretch (it depends on whether a gamer him or herself has a high salary or has wealthy parents) while the average gamer is priced out (it'll take them longer to afford out of pocket).

How much would the RTX 6090 cost out of pocket (both the GPU itself or integrated into laptops) since that alone will be overpriced when you consider the *official* minimum wage of an American worker is $7.25 for service industry type jobs or $20 at specialized fields, factor in: rent, bills, groceries, internet (you pay a subscription from the ISP), insurance, utilities, etc.

For the price they ask for these things the performance increase better be more than 50% or no-one will even consider it, But lets face it, who will actually buy it ? almost nobody is buying the 5090, (melting cables didn't help), so the sales of the 6090 are already done.

That's if we can afford a small nuclear reactor to power it, (not coal fired either something that's green as is required in todays world).

And if I have a crash one day and I have to eject the core... Well..... My neighbours are not gonna like that.....

i could buy a 5090 right now but i see no reason to upgrade from my 3080.....still hit at least a 120 frames in the games i want to play.....but when i do upgrade its going to be a whole platform as my 5700x on a x570 motherboard is getting old....

next GPU is going to have to justify itself with current prices.....
the progess of the tech is too fast where the game is too slow, only FOMO junkies buy new card each year

Out of pocket randomly, no I couldn't afford it, which is why I save for such luxuries none of us need, 10 to 20 bucks a week plus the sale of my 5090 will pretty much cover the cost and that is something most people should be able to do, mst working adults will waste more than that on coffee, cigarettes or snacks each week.

No one will bother
Could I afford it? I can buy a few and be fine. Will I guy one? No. The 40 series was a joke as was the 50. That and the fact that Nvidia still has pretty poor Linux support.

What do you mean? The card will sell out, it's not that expensive even on minimum wage if you budget for it.

its selling out to be shipped to china for memory mods that make the GPU cores worth 30 grand each!!! they are rebuilding them with up to a 128gb of memory for lameEYE oops i mean AI.......:gman:
What is the lowest its bandwidth gonna be?

Read that the bi directional bandwidth of the 5090 is 64GB yet the things that came before had a 600GB to 1TB. now this is the graphics chip to the video memory. Now is it to the nvme or memory? all of it? not just internally of graphics chip to video memory.

DirectX 13 for AI and ray tracing will kick off all 16 and 20 series and anyone leaving that era a complete upgrade on not just a chipset but the controllers and uniting with a motherboard of octo channel might be due.

Otherwise why get something thats gonna take 3 pci 5.0 spots. Ya got a board with 7 might as well.

Afford to open box check it if it is a complete system where the fan isn't just blowing through fins and the board didn't even reach to fit that many chips in the first place... tired of the 256 bit bus width 5090 the XT models got me really leaning towards

MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Gaming X or a amd radeon rx 6600 and wait it out the cost to consumer of buying that out of pocket of a 6090 180000-500000 currency(forgive the amount of digits regions change)buy literally upwards of 16 variety of those cards and make a old school tech channel.

Guess the answer gotta ask self?
Are gonna buy the camera gonna film this excursion?
Probably. Pass on attempting to believe affording doesn't include using it.

Probably.
Will I buy it?
Probably not.
A good way to go broke is to keep buying stuff you dont need.

Can afford it yes, need it? absolutely not.
Numlock587 9. nov. kl. 4:14
I could but I don't feel like it.
would I be able to : yes without batting an eye.

will I? very uinlikely.

-I want the best gpu out there.. (bragging rights)
**price is of no concern
-but I do NOT want fake frames, nor do I want anybody else to have them
**(dlss is an function that is NEGATIVE on cards, as it devalues my native performance (and steals my bragging rights with cheating + makes developers lazy in their game design)
as well as increases powerdraw even when dlss is of by like 200W
+I am unwilling to accept the best performing GPU to use more than 250W.. and see the powercreet as clear sign nvidea has been slacking relative how they used to do things until the 2000 series.

so if cost 10000 euro has 250W has NO dlss.. yet managed to still outperform a 5090 with dlss on (even if just by 1% that still is fine) I buy that card instantly heck even 20000 I would..

but if it costs 100 euro..but has over 300W of tdp, I not want it.. heck I would not want it if you paid me to take it.

lower than tdp AND remove the dlss.. than we can talk.. if not.. it's crap.
Talby 9. nov. kl. 8:17
...exactly why the mid-tier is usually the best performance-per-dollar ratio 🤔

Same I could afford it but why??? FOMO lol...
