Fix Nvidia Control Panel missing sometimes after PC restart
After Driver version 581.57 Nvidia did somethink, and Control Panel doesn't work sometimes after PC boot. It can't be launched from UWP and it not in the list at right mouse button desktop menu.
With 581.15 driver and lower it work all the time.

Possibly fixes:

1) Manualy launch panel as admin (you need to be owner of the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder).

2) Restart "nvidia display container ls" service.

3) Use 581.15 version of Nvidia drivers.

For mostly users that have same issue i prefer second variant.
You can just use 2 lines in cmd to restart service:
net stop "nvidia display container ls"
net start "nvidia display container ls"
Or create CMD file and run it as admin.

I add nvidia restart service to my task scheduler, and seems now every boot panel its working fine (after 10 seconds from system startup)

If anyone have another fix fot that you can tell. (my gpu is GTX 1660)
I am sure i am not only 1 person in the world that have this issue.

p.s. I alredy try DDU or clean driver install, and reinstalling UWP Control Panel App not helping.
If any previous driver starts panet all the time, and newer not - its driver problem, i cant fix it by reinstalling it 100+ times.

sounds like another case of windows update only 'updating' the core driver files not nvidia control panel

use ddu in safe mode to wipe all gpu drivers and software, reboot without internet and reinstall the gpu drivers

Just DDU wipe in safe mode, reboot and install your driver and reboot when done.

Stop allowing Windows Updates to handle your drivers. Disable that

There is no control panel at nvidia drivers, we need to install it from Windows Store manualy.
And like i say - i try alredy DDU, it not help.

You don't get it from Microsoft Store. Where do people come up with this non-sense?

What's your full PC specs and OS?

You can install Nvidia Control Panel only from Windows store, bro. Check official documentation.
Its only UWP app now. https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nf8h0h7wmlt?hl=en-us&gl=TJ

Just checked this - NVidia App said there was an driver update available, so I got that (via the App). After the new version installed, the MVidia Control Panel was still there.
As a test I uninstalled the NCP, checked that it had gone, then re-installed the update (it's an option in the app). This also re-installed the NCP.
There is a NVidia Control Panel in the Windows Store, but it is branded with NVidia's logo, so I guess it is from NVidia.
I see the App and Control Panel in the taskbar thingo at the far right of the taskbar (hidden icons?) - was there in Win10 and now in Win11.

Its installed from store automaticaly, when you installed or updating drivers, but its not "in the drivers themselves"
You can check it and download exe drivers from Nvidia site, then extract like zip archive and watch what inside installer.

You're on a GTX GPU... WTF you even need the very lateat driver for anyways. Juat DDU wipe and use 580.xx something

So what? Its Turing, and nvidia stop gaming support only for pascals GTX 10xx.
GTX 16xx still get games improvements. Also new drivers have fix for steam black screen issue, that was in this thread:

That's not how to fix that Steam issues. Those guys just dont listen. I told them how to fix it since it's a Steam Overlay issue. Not an AMD or NVIDIA issue of any kind.

Last drivers fix it.
Nvm.

So if nobody have better ideas about theme issue, i will stay with my fix - restart nvidia service with task scheduler after system boots, it is working and i am happy now. :winter2019coolyul:

I never said tbat was the fix. You don't seem to understand either

As for the Control Panel. What else is in your OS Startup and all? Possibly an issue there some how

I tried clear start with msconfig with same result, so it not some other autostart thing impact.

Try this instead...

DDU wipe.
Then install a slightly older driver. Once installed reboot. Check NVCP is working normally. If so, now install latest driver version, reboot when done.
