How much RAM does the laptop have ?
i remember i finished it almost without a crash . at the very most one , if any at all .but my PC had 16GB RAM .i used no mods .i played it offline ,solo
get all the correct ones from the mobo mfg or oem site
and gpu driver from amd/nvidia/intel, never use windows update for drivers
Since it only just that device, and not happening to others, then this may suggest needing run system repair, or may need to reinstall your driver's.
- Try this open CMD as administrator do each line one at a time, until finish and restart PC.
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /registerdns
- If using custom DNS, or Proxy/VPN compare to your other devices, ensure that not the issue.
- If using pi-hole, or custom firewall, or anything mess with protocols, ensure that not the issue.
- Try this open CMD as administrator, type in command, if it find any errors restart PC, and test.
SFC /scannow
- If all else failed, check your motherboard/device manufacturing website download latest drivers for it may be bios if not up to date, and network drivers may need to reinstall with lastest driver for your device.
Hope you figure your issue out.
on major updates it rolls back drivers to windows generics
it gives warnings when disconnected or forced single player modes
