Are PC components cheap in Taiwan?
The thing is that most of the manufacturing (of graphics cards or actual hardware) is actually from there (or China), but when it comes to exporting them into global markets (as in Western nations): it ends up being more expensive when buying them from the store once they hit the shelves, is it because of potential tariffs?

The manufacturing cost is what it is, it doesn't matter if you live close to the factory. The company that designs and sells the product decides the price. Sometimes it'll vary depending on the market (country it's sold in) depending on the economy/wages/ppp etc.

Tariffs or import tax may play a part if something is sold very cheap in a particular country. A tax could be applied to discourage purchasing from that country.

Products made by Taiwanese companies might be a bit cheaper in Taiwan because of trade deals around the world and cost of sales but they'll roughly want to standardise the price depending on the ppp. Big Mac Index
