Actually i think it will automatically ask you to initialize the new drive when you open disk manager so just click next a few times and it will be done.
Have to do this with all new drives.

You gotta initialize it snd partition and format it in Disk Management first
We know this.... but you are mainly seeing people now where these Win10 and 11 PCs are their first PCs. Or a PC they are just starting to mess with and change and/or add hardware to. Most of which were not even born before year 2000
Isn't this only something you have to do if you add a new drive, ie. not the drive you used when you built your PC?
if your lazy and dont know diskpart. use the win10/11 installer go threw the menu and use the disk creator
