Best Air and/or AIO Cooler for 9950X3D?
I'm in a bit of a situation upgrading my PC.

Posted a few posts here a few weeks ago about upgrading my PC and got most of the parts but it turns out my AIO is not looking like it's going to come any time soon so I'll likely end up cancelling the order.

Everything else has arrived, RAM, CPU, motherboard, PSU, SSD. So I basically have new high-end hardware sitting in a room waiting on one part before I get to upgrading.

What's a good air cooler or AIO cooler? I'm leaning towards an AIO and, while I would like a decent LCD screen on it I'm not too pushed once I get good thermals and low sound from it.

I have a Noctua NH-U12A air cooler at the moment on my 5800X(Which runs quite hot to be honest), would that be good? I read somewhere that the X3D's are actually cooler than standard X CPU's... unsure how true that is but I read it somewhere.

I dunno if the X3D's run cooler than non X3D's, I know pre 9xxx the X3D's ran hotter, and for the 9xxx X3D's they changed the way the cache was mounted which should make them run more inline with their Non X3D counterparts... can't see how it would be cooler tho.

Anyway, as for a cooler, if your case has the room, Liquid Freezer III Pro 420 gets my vote. Affordable, effective, and has a 6 year warranty

A word of warning, even if your case has room for 3x140mm fans in the roof, doesn't mean it will fit, you'll need to check the depth of the aio+fans v's the available space. I ended up having to return the 420 for a 360, as with a 420 installed, the motherboard wouldn't fit.

Unfortunately I can't get the Artic Liquid Freezer III Pro 420 or 360 in my region. The only version is the 240 AIO.

Is the Corsair H150i Elite good enough? I'm a bit relucant to spend almost 500 on the H170i Elite.

Any suggestions are welcome, a list would be handy as there seems to be a bit of a slowdown on AIO in my region.

Thanks!

Grab one without all the fancy stuff that does nothing for temps, I use a 360 CM Atmos which was fairly priced, they are all made by a couple of companies and re labeled at the end of the day, kind of like PSU's.

h150 is a 360mm length rad, 3x120

looks like a really thin rad, most fans are 25mm thick, and the rad looks about that too
most good ones are 30+mm thick

There’s no point in buying an ungodly expensive Noctua cooler when you can just get a peerless assassin or a Phantom Spirit that offers identical performance and only slightly worse noise for less than a quarter of the price.

And if you’re planning to spend hundreds on CPU cooling, just buy a good AIO like an Arctic Liquid Freezer at that point, air cooling should not be at premo prices.

I use a Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN 360 RX RGB on my 9950X3D, fans on balanced via iCue all the time, no custom curve crud, even when my cpu hits 100%, the highest temp that I have seen recorded is 89oC

Thanks all for the suggestions. The PCCooler one looks interesting but I've never heard of that brand before.

What are the three best at the moment? Is Corsair good for AIO? What are the top brands these days?

If your going for AIO LC's, take a look at Thermalright.

I had a look around when replacing my Strix LC, and chose a Thermalright Grand Vision. Haven't regretted that choice, though the screen they're mounted with may not be to everyone's taste. Does work well though, and displays all manner of things, like temps and voltages, if you want it to. Or it can be blank, with just the time if you so want.

Oh yeah? Well does the Peerless Assassin or the Phantom Spirit come in an incredibly-appealing brown/tan color scheme?
Ha! Didn't think so!

op asked for 'best'
and has a noctura single rad tower cooler
d15 g2 is the best, but at a cost and may not be the most fashionable color but its the best at its job

Right... everything is out of stock so I got the Asus ROG Ryuijin III 360 ARGB Extreme AIO - Apparently it's one of the best... and most expensive but I got a decent deal with it.

Is this good? I'm assuming Asus' warranty covers damages to components if it leaks?
