thanks, forgot about DDU which i'll need since going from a 60 to a 70

when it comes to value the 5070Ti is definitely better and will probably last longer because its 16GB VRAM

dont have the budget + i just wanted a 4070 super and the 5070 is extremely close to that

ddu is only really needed when going from amd -> nvidia or nvidia -> amd
its not needed when changing 2-3 gens on amd or nvidia, they use the same driver
for more than that it should be used or if you want to wipe all driver settings and revert them defaults

^ this, or if you are actually having GPU driver issues. If you already have the NVIDIA APP, NVCP, and a recent/latest game ready driver then you should be able to just slot in your new card when you get it and be fine. You'll still want to probably make some adjustments to your settings in the NVIDIA APP but driver-wise it should just work.

Well you don't need it for that reason. It's just good to have and uses regardless plus it will be best to wipe out everything NVIDIA you already have so you can have a clean install of the very latest driver which fixes alot of bugs and such.

I run and clean with DDU each driver change. It's simple to do that, takes nearly no time and it will prevent headaches from driver upgrades along the way. Now sure that is all much better in Win10 and 11 then it used to be. But it's a rule of thumb type of practice that just works and works very well to not only ensure a clean install but that previous junk is properly wiped out too.

Now if taking a small step from driver to driver then that shouldn't be a problem to install that new driver and move on. But some drivers can have some major changes where doing a clean install of that driver would be best overall to do.

yeah , my order for RTX 4070 Super was canceled too because was out of stock. Some RTX 5070 doesnt have a stand included

not too mad that i have to get a 5070 because of better dlss and 8 whole percent more performance
