Minor alteration to Steamdeck compatibility filtering requested
I would like to ask for what (I think) would be a minor change in the steam library filtering systems. Could you please make it so that library filtering based on Steamdeck compatibility is modular rather than additive? To give a specific example, when I am not on my Steamdeck I would like to be able to filter just for games that are NOT Steamdeck compatible or perhaps untested + not compatible because I would like to focus on playing those games when I am not on the Steamdeck. Since I have a large collection, it would be very time consuming to do this manually. Thanks for reading this, if anyone does!

Please forgive me if I am breaking any rules by bumping an old post. I did not see any rule against it in the sticky. Maybe someone would be kind enough to educate me on how this forum works. If I post something on here, will I ever know if someone at valve actually reads it and/or considers my suggestion? Is it acceptable/recommendable to keep re-posting the same suggestion every few months until I get a response or if it's ignored should I assume that valve is just not going to do that?

The forum isn't meant for direct communication with Valve. They will not respond to suggestions. They do read the forum and have implemented several suggestions, but that's as close as you'll ever get to an official response.

I would not recommend continuing to bump a post of yours. If Valve considers it worthy enough to implement, they will. We've found that Valve will implement what it feels like regardless of how popular, or not, a suggestion may be.

i would suggest you create a stand alone account for your steam deck in the event you want to play on steam deck and the pc on a differnt game at the same time.

also there should be tons of free games that work on the steam deck, also remember the lower the quality of the game the better it will run on steams somewhat low resource steam deck.

again creating a new account for it can save your loads of trouble and issues. give it a shot. you should also be able to family share any games from one account to the steam deck account if you are so inclined to play them.

I would also like this feature. Instead of the select, I'd want checkboxes (like on most other filters) for "Verified", "Playable", "Untested" and "Not playable".
